Ilkay Gundogan had a sublime day to help Manchester City defeat Manchester United in the 2022-23 FA Cup final.
Gundogan broke the balance with an impromptu volley from outside the box in the 13th second, leaving goalkeeper De Gea standing still and watching the ball enter the net.
This goal made the German midfielder enter history as the player who scored the fastest goal in the history of the FA Cup final.
Not stopping there, Gundogan continued to shine in the second half with the goal that sealed the 2-1 final result in the 51st minute, after letting the opponent equalize 1-1 in the first half through Bruno Fernandes.
This victory brought coach Pep Guardiola's team to the highest podium in the FA Cup arena this season.
This is also the 7th time in history that Manchester City has won the FA Cup, after doing so in the 1903-04, 1933-34, 1955-56, 1968-69, 2010-11, 2018-19 seasons.

The FA Cup is also the second title that Man City has won this season after the Premier League and they are aiming to win a historic "treble".
The Etihad Stadium team will complete their goal if they defeat Inter Milan in the Champions League final on June 11.
As for Manchester United, they became the team that lost the most in FA Cup finals with 9 times.
