Jennie's collaborator is the most popular rapper

According to an online survey conducted by Star News through Gallup Korea from August 19 to August 23, 2024, Zico topped the "Most Popular Rapper of the 21st Century" chart with 31% of the votes.

The survey was conducted through votes from 1,052 male and female viewers between the ages of 19 and 69 across Korea.

Zico debuted in 2011 as the leader of the K-pop idol group Block B. He took the K-pop hip-hop scene by storm upon his debut with his signature, dynamic rapping skills. Zico also became known for writing, composing, and producing most of the group's songs.

In 2018, Zico left Seven Seasons to pursue a solo career. He founded KOZ Entertainment and began working as a producer after his solo activities. Zico's 2020 hit "Any Song" is a must-have.

KOZ Entertainment was acquired by HYBE in 2020 and Zico is expanding his own musical horizons by debuting boy group BoyNextDoor last May.

In April this year, Zico collaborated with Jennie (Blackpink) to release the song “Spot!”. The song ranked high on Korean music charts, even winning the first place on SBS’s music show Inkigayo without appearing on the show.

In addition, Zico is currently meeting audiences every Friday through KBS 2TV's music entertainment program "The Seasons".

According to the survey results, Zico attracted the attention of all ages and genders. Of which, 29% of the audience was between the ages of 19 and 29, 18% was in their 30s, 30% was in their 40s, 32% was in their 50s, and 41% was in their 60s.

Ranking second in the poll after Zico was rapper duo Dynamic Duo, with 26% of the votes. Since their debut in 2004, Dynamic Duo has released many hit songs such as "Go Back", "Guilty", "Ring My Bell", "BAAAM", "Attendance Check"...

In 3rd place with 22% of the votes was Epik High, followed by Yoon Mi Rae (Tasha) in 4th place with 20% of the votes and Drunken Tiger (Tiger JK) in 5th place with 15% of the votes. 6th to 10th place went to Leessang (11%), Lee Young Ji (9%), Jessi (8%), MC Mong (7%) and BewhY (7%) respectively.
