PSG booked their place in the UEFA Champions League final with a 3-1 aggregate win over Arsenal, after beating their opponents 2-1 in the second leg of their semi-final at the Parc des Princes.
PSG went into the game with a 1-0 first-leg lead at the Emirates, while Arsenal had never qualified for the knockout stages of Europe, having lost the first leg at home in their previous five attempts. Mikel Arteta's side started strongly in Paris, with Declan Rice heading wide and Gianluigi Donnarumma making two excellent saves to deny Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard in the opening 10 minutes of the game.
Luis Enrique's side overcame the early pressure and reminded Arsenal of their attacking prowess when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia hit the post. The hosts dealt Arsenal a blow in the 27th minute when Fabian Ruiz opened the scoring with a superb strike after Thomas Partey had headed clear from Vitinha's free-kick. PSG continued their impressive counter-attacking style after the opener, David Raya making a superb save to deny Bradley Barcola in the 30th minute.
After the break, Arsenal looked to Bukayo Saka for inspiration, but Donnarumma continued to shine with a stunning save. The game took a turn when Myles Lewis-Skelly was penalised for handball, leading to a penalty for the home side in the 69th minute. However, Raya saved Vitinha's spot-kick to keep Arsenal's hopes alive.
However, Arsenal's hopes were short-lived as Achraf Hakimi made it 2-0 for PSG in the 72nd minute, the PSG defender combining confidently with his team-mate before unleashing an excellent right-footed curler from the edge of the box into the right corner of the goal. Four minutes after conceding the second goal, Arsenal reduced the deficit to 1-2 when Leandro Trossard set up Saka for a goal, but Saka then missed a golden chance to equalise from Riccardo Calafiori's pass.

PSG continue their quest for a maiden Champions League title, joining Stade de Reims and Olympique de Marseille as the Ligue 1 side to have reached the most finals in Europe's premier competition. Arsenal, meanwhile, face a fifth consecutive season without a major trophy after being eliminated from the European knockout stages for the sixth time.
