Hanoi fireworks display, hydraulic drone demonstration to celebrate National Day

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, Hanoi will organize many meaningful and practical activities, including fireworks displays at 5 locations on the evening of September 2.

Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh has just signed and issued Plan No. 158/KH-UBND on organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

According to this plan, the national celebration, military parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 will be solemnly held in the capital Hanoi, with close coordination between the armed forces, central and city departments, ministries, and branches.

On the evening of September 2, the city organized high-altitude fireworks displays at 5 locations, including: Hoan Kiem Lake area, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, My Dinh National Stadium and West Lake area. This is a special artistic activity, expressing the heroic spirit, joy and pride of the army and people of the capital on the occasion of the great national holiday.

Hanoi will set off fireworks to celebrate the country's major holiday.

In order to widely disseminate the historical significance and contemporary value of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Hanoi will coordinate with the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to organize a national scientific conference on the role, lessons and historical value of the revolution, contributing to affirming the position, role and glorious revolutionary tradition of the capital Hanoi in the cause of national liberation struggle, national construction and defense.

Notably, the City coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize an exhibition of socio -economic achievements and typical products in the development process of the Capital and the country, and at the same time designed a logo and identity set to celebrate the 80th anniversary, creating a highlight to spread the spirit of pride, encourage the patriotic emulation movement, and build the Capital to be increasingly rich, beautiful, civilized and modern.

Along with festival and art activities, the city also organized visits and gave gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions, demonstrating the nation's morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking water".

Traditional education activities, visits to historical sites, and competitions to learn about the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 will be widely deployed in schools, organizations, and residential areas, aiming to foster revolutionary ideals and love for the homeland and country for the young generation.

In particular, Hanoi will coordinate with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and Vietnam Television to organize a live television broadcast of the anniversary program; coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to launch a contest to create propaganda paintings on the theme of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, creating conditions for people from all walks of life, artists and painters to participate, contributing to enriching spiritual life, promoting revolutionary traditions and love for the Fatherland to the majority of people in the capital and the whole country.

In addition, it is worth noting that, in addition to art programs, Hanoi will also perform hydraulic drones in a socialized form at West Lake from August 9 to August 30.
