According to the legend at Nha Xa communal house, after defeating the Yuan-Mongol invaders for the third time, General Tran Khanh Du returned to Nha Xa village to practice asceticism and passed on the profession of growing mulberry, raising silkworms, reeling silk, and weaving silk to the people of Nha Xa village.
Nha Xa silk weaving village today still preserves the craft as the soul of the village, as the song "Nha Xa silk, Lanh river fish" has been passed down for generations.
