Hanoi urgently plans to support the Central provinces to overcome the consequences of floods.

On the evening of November 21, the Hanoi Party Committee issued an urgent dispatch on developing a plan to support the Central provinces in overcoming the consequences caused by heavy rain and floods.

The Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee assigned the Hanoi People's Committee to direct the city's functional agencies to coordinate with Gia Lai province to review and synthesize damage data and propose support plans (such as necessities, housing for poor and near-poor households affected, infrastructure works, and reproduction).

On that basis, propose a plan of the Hanoi Party Committee to support people in the Central provinces to overcome the consequences caused by heavy rain and floods, including support from the city's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the city's budget; Gia Lai province in particular needs to have a plan for specific content, objects, funding and support roadmap. This matter must be reported to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee before 9:00 a.m. on November 24, 2025.

The Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee also assigned the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi to launch an appeal to cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, armed forces, people of all walks of life, agencies, units, organizations, businesses, philanthropists, and Hanoians abroad to promote the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, with the whole country", the tradition of "mutual love and support", "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", to join hands to share and support people in areas affected by storms and floods.

On the same day, the Ministry of Health sent a telegram to the Department of Health of Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Gia Lai provinces and units under the Ministry of Health in the Central region to focus on responding to especially large floods.

To proactively prevent, respond, ensure people's safety, and minimize damage, the Ministry of Health requires the Department of Health of the above three localities and its affiliated units to strictly implement the directives of the Prime Minister, the National Civil Defense Steering Committee and the Ministry of Health in responding to floods and storms, ensuring people's safety according to the 4-on-the-spot principle; organize professional and emergency services 24/7 when floods occur; be ready to receive and provide emergency care for victims caused by floods and storms; coordinate with local forces to access deeply flooded and isolated residential areas to provide timely medical support when requested; ensure absolute safety for medical staff during disaster response.
