According to the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports , the "Hanoi Culture Day in Moscow 2026" is organized with the desire to bring the image of an elegant, civilized, and culturally rich Hanoi closer to international friends. This activity also contributes to further strengthening the good, deep, and warm cooperative relationship between the two capitals as well as the two countries, Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's series of events includes two main activities, introducing the typical cultural and historical values of Hanoi to the international public.

One of the highlights of the program is the exhibition "Quoc Tu Giam - Vietnam's First National School (1076-2026)".
Established in 1076, with a history spanning 950 years, the Temple of Literature – National University is not only Vietnam's first university, a place that has trained many talented individuals throughout history, but also a typical symbol of the nation's tradition of valuing learning, respecting teachers, and employing talented people.

The exhibition recreates the development journey of Vietnamese national scholarship, while also showcasing the cultural space of Hanoi, rich in historical and humanistic values. The event also holds special significance as it commemorates the 950th anniversary of the founding of the Temple of Literature – National University.
Besides historical documents, the exhibition also presents vivid images of Vietnam and its people today through traditional handicrafts. In particular, the public in Moscow has the opportunity to experience firsthand many unique cultural activities of Hanoi, including a replica of the Dong Son bronze drum – a symbol of ancient Vietnamese culture.

Alongside the exhibition, the special art program titled "Hanoi - Sounds of a Thousand Years" made a strong impression on international audiences.
The program is a delicate blend of traditional and modern music , elaborately staged with the participation of People's Artists, Meritorious Artists, and many other prominent artists from Hanoi.
Through unique art forms such as Ca Tru – an intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO, Hanoi Xam singing, and many other traditional and contemporary art performances, the program contributes to introducing the cultural depth of Thang Long – Hanoi to the international public.

More than just a cultural exchange event, "Hanoi Culture Day in Moscow 2026" also serves as a bridge to promote the image of Hanoi as a dynamic and modern capital city while preserving its unique traditional values. Through this, the event further affirms the role of culture as a bridge connecting nations, contributing to strengthening friendship and promoting cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in the new era.
