“Hanoi - From the historic autumn of 1945”:

A special art program titled “Hanoi - From the historic autumn of 1945” will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 15 at August Revolution Square (Hanoi).

The program is directed by the Hanoi City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and organized and implemented by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports .

This is an important event of Hanoi city, part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day September 2, welcoming major holidays and important historical events of 2025.

“Hanoi - From the historic autumn of 1945” is an art program imbued with political and epic qualities, recreating one of the important milestones of national history through a subtle combination of scholarly art, folk art, international elements and modern technology.

The program applies many creative techniques, combining interaction with contemporary art genres and styles to depict the historical depth and cultural beauty of the Capital.

With 3 chapters and 6 acts, the program takes the audience through 80 years of Hanoi's history since the success of the August Revolution.

The history is recreated both majestically and romantically, depicting the image of Hanoi people in the midst of bombs and bullets, still steadfast and determined to regain independence and freedom for the nation and for the thousand-year-old land of Thang Long.

The audience was led from the historic autumn of 1945, when the Ba Dinh sunshine was brilliant and the Declaration of Independence echoed, to the heroic epic of the Ho Chi Minh era with the fierce years of the "Dien Bien Phu in the air" battle...

…and then immerse yourself in the “Spring Trains” filled with the spirit of generosity and aspiration to build a civilized and prosperous Capital in the new era.

The image of President Ho Chi Minh with children brings emotion to every citizen of the capital.

The program brings together nearly 1,000 artists and actors from many theaters and art units of the Central and City.

Besides the music and performances, the special highlight of the program is 3 3D mapping projections combined with artistic fireworks, creating a journey of light through time, from heroic milestones, through the brilliant cultural space of Thang Long - Hanoi, to the image of a technological heart looking towards the future of Vietnam.

With the combination of music, lighting, stage art and modern technology, “Hanoi - From the historic autumn of 1945” not only brings a unique artistic experience, but also arouses pride, love for the homeland and deep gratitude to previous generations in the hearts of today's young generation.

The fireworks display delighted the audience watching the show live as well as those watching on screen.
