The Hanoi People's Committee issued an Official Dispatch on mobilizing the opening of free toilets to serve tourists and people, promoting the implementation of the "Bright - green - clean - beautiful" movement, serving the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
In order to better serve the people and tourists participating in the activities and contribute to building the image of a civilized and elegant capital, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to propagate and mobilize agencies, businesses, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, shops, schools, community activity points in residential areas, households... to open free toilets for tourists and people during the celebrations of major holidays.

Assign departments and branches: Department of Culture and Sports takes the lead in propagating and praising typical examples and localities actively deploy and promote communication on mass media and social networks; Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinates with Department of Culture and Sports, People's Committees of communes and wards to post identification sets of free toilets, organize widespread propaganda; City newspapers and radio stations strengthen propaganda on opening free toilets and the "Bright - green - clean - beautiful" movement.
Previously, the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with relevant units to conduct surveys and develop plans for arranging mobile toilets; and develop an overall scenario to serve a series of events with a scale of up to 1 million participants before, during and after the event.
It is expected that the number of toilets to be installed and mobilized will be 1,012. Of which, Hanoi City will allocate funds to install and maintain 612 mobile toilets; at the same time, mobilize agencies, schools, hospitals, and private homes to allow free use of about 400 toilets.
