On the eve of the new school year 2025-2026, Ha Tinh Newspaper reporters had an interview with Director of the Department of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Nguyet about new points and preparations for the school year.

PV: Madam, from the outstanding results of the 2024-2025 school year, what determination and goals does Ha Tinh enter the 2025-2026 school year with?
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet : In the 2024-2025 school year, the Ha Tinh Education sector has excellently completed key tasks, creating outstanding marks.
The General Education Program ensures quality and effectiveness; the work of building national standard schools reaches a high rate of 88.28%; universal education and illiteracy eradication continue to be maintained and strengthened; the digital transformation movement, "Digital Education for All" creates a spread throughout the industry; the work of building green - clean - beautiful - safe schools, happy schools achieves good results.

The sector has focused on many synchronous solutions to make strong changes in the quality of mass and key education, creating breakthroughs. In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Ha Tinh ranked 2nd out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide. The quality of key subjects continued to be affirmed, Ha Tinh ranked 3rd nationwide in terms of the percentage of students winning prizes, and 8th nationwide in terms of the number of first prizes. In particular, Tran Minh Hoang - grade 12 Math 1, Ha Tinh Specialized High School won the gold medal at the 2025 International Math Olympiad with the 2nd highest score of the Vietnamese team.

Entering the 2025-2026 school year, the entire Ha Tinh Education sector continues to promote the tradition of studiousness, enthusiasm, solidarity and creativity. We are determined to successfully complete the tasks of the new school year, aiming to build a quality, modern, integrated education system, making practical contributions to the sustainable development of the province.
The industry's overarching goal is to improve the quality of comprehensive education, develop high-quality human resources, and build a friendly, safe, humane, and happy educational environment. At the same time, the industry will strongly promote digital transformation, ensuring equitable access to education for all students, especially in remote, isolated, and disadvantaged areas.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the education sector will prioritize breakthroughs in innovating teaching methods, testing and assessment towards developing students' qualities and capacities; continue to improve the quality of comprehensive education at all levels; apply IT, effectively exploit AI; implement 2-session teaching/day, gradually making English the second language in schools; continue to build a positive educational environment, a happy school so that each manager and teacher is dedicated, responsible, innovative, creative, and students can maximize their potential.


PV: In the context of the country entering a new period of development, could you please tell us what breakthrough solutions the Ha Tinh Education sector will focus on implementing to effectively implement the requirements of innovation?
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet : The country is changing rapidly, opening up many opportunities and challenges. The Ha Tinh Education sector has determined that it must proactively innovate, be creative and take drastic actions to meet the increasing demands of society. In the 2025-2026 school year, the sector will focus on implementing a number of key solutions:
Firstly, continue to do a good job of advising the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to issue specific mechanisms and policies for educational development; promptly concretize the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training in association with local conditions; prioritize mobilizing and allocating resources for disadvantaged and border areas; review and rationally arrange the network of schools and teachers to meet the requirements of the two-level local government model.

Second, coordinate with local authorities to actively direct and implement 2-session/day teaching at all levels in the direction of enhancing experiential activities, STEM/STEAM education, life skills; synchronously prepare facilities, staff, financial resources; closely coordinate with parents and the community to ensure effectiveness and sustainability.
Third, continue to innovate teaching and testing methods, and evaluate in the direction of developing students' qualities and abilities, encouraging creativity and scientific research.
Fourth, improve the quality of foreign language teaching; create an environment for learning and using English regularly in schools, and gradually make English the second language in schools.
Fifth, raise awareness among the management staff, teachers and employees of the whole industry about consciousness, responsibility, discipline, order, always improve qualities and ethics, constantly study and cultivate, promote the spirit of self-study, initiative, creativity and innovation; deploy regular and in-depth training and fostering for management staff and teachers according to new standards, especially focusing on the capacity of digital transformation, school management and administration; continue to focus on education on traditions, ethics, law, soft skills, arouse aspirations and will to rise in each student.

Sixth, continue to focus on building a progressive, humane educational environment and happy schools; modernize facilities and teaching equipment; synchronously deploy smart school and smart classroom models; promote digital transformation in education, effectively apply technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in management and teaching.
Reporter: The 2025-2026 school year is the year of implementing many major policies on educational security. How will the industry implement them to create momentum for innovation and improve the quality of education, madam?
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet: The 2025-2026 school year marks the period of synchronous implementation of many major policies on educational security, including mechanisms for tuition exemption and support, boarding meals, investment in facilities, priority for disadvantaged areas, construction of schools in border areas, along with programs and projects to improve staff quality and educational innovation. The education sector will coordinate with departments, branches and localities to effectively implement this practical policy, helping to reduce the burden on parents, creating conditions for all students - especially in remote, isolated, border and island areas - to access fair and quality education; at the same time, creating motivation for teachers to work with peace of mind and make long-term contributions.

At the same time, we will be proactive in consulting; coordinate with departments, branches, units and localities to implement plans, ensure resources for education and training development; improve teaching quality, train teachers and staff, effectively manage and use core teachers at all levels, and promote industrialization.
Strengthen propaganda to raise awareness among management staff, teachers, staff and students; effectively maintain the relationship between school, family and society; promote the supervisory role of the community; effectively coordinate with wards and communes to direct, manage, guide, inspect, supervise, support and advise educational institutions in the two-level government model.
