On the morning of August 29, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan, Chief of Office of the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, said that the Department had received a directive from the Provincial People's Committee requesting to quickly stabilize the organization and assign teachers before the new school year.
According to Mr. Hoan, in the face of the shortage of teachers, the People's Committee of Nghe An province has directed the Department of Education and Training to urgently implement synchronous solutions such as recruitment, mobilization, secondment, transfer, inter-school teaching arrangement... to promptly supplement human resources, ensuring that no school lacks teachers.

The adjustment and allocation of staff for the 2025-2026 school year must be completed before September 20. In particular, the recruitment and admission of teachers within the assigned staff quota must be completed before November 30 to supplement the schools that are lacking.
Nghe An Department of Education and Training will study the mechanism of authorization and assignment to educational institutions and the Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level in issuing decisions related to personnel such as end of probation, salary increase, retirement, termination, transfer, appointment or assignment of teachers to teach inter-school after secondment.
In case recruitment is not yet available, the Provincial People's Committee will assign the Department of Finance and local People's Committees to arrange funds for schools to sign short-term contracts, ensuring that students have teachers right from the beginning of the school year.

According to statistics, Nghe An province is currently short of more than 4,000 teachers, of which preschools are short of 1,579, primary schools are short of 1,198, secondary schools are short of 942 and high schools are short of 463. The imbalance still occurs locally in many localities due to small communes and uneven teacher structure between regions.
“Supplementing and rearranging the staff is an urgent requirement. If not done promptly, many schools will not have enough teachers to teach in class, directly affecting the quality of teaching right from the beginning of the school year,” Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan emphasized.
The People's Committee of Nghe An province hopes that with strong leadership and flexible solutions, the education sector will overcome the prolonged shortage of teachers, creating conditions for students across the province to enter the new school year in a stable mindset.
