Da Nang education sector needs to fully prepare conditions for the opening of the new school year 2025 - 2026

According to the report of the Department of Education and Training, in the 2024-2025 school year, the education sector of the former Da Nang city and the former Quang Nam province will be given attention, ensuring that at least 20% of the state budget is spent on education; at least 19% of regular expenditure.

The school network has grown strongly with 971 public schools and 212 non-public schools; 21,920 classes and a total of 670,744 students.

The rate of preschool children attending school reached 95.8%, in which old Da Nang stood out with a model of accepting children under 18 months old.

Localities promptly implemented many resolutions and policies to support children and teachers, especially in industrial parks and disadvantaged areas.

Quality in all fields and levels of study is maintained; excellent students at city and national levels continue to achieve good results; many high awards in national excellent student competitions and participation in international Olympic competitions...

In the 2025-2026 school year, the city's education sector will continue to innovate and improve the quality of education; ensure fairness in access to quality education for learners; develop a team of teachers and educational institution managers to meet the requirements of educational and training innovation; improve the efficiency of state budget use, mobilize investment resources to strengthen facilities and improve the quality of education and training...

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan requested the city's education sector to continue improving the quality of mass and spearhead education; promote digital transformation, implement STEM education programs (educational methods combining the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and AI (artificial intelligence)... At the same time, the entire education sector needs to fully prepare the conditions for the opening of the new school year 2025 - 2026, and inspect the actual facilities, especially in mountainous areas.

It is necessary to focus on implementing key tasks well, especially increasing investment in infrastructure, implementing school projects in disadvantaged areas; promptly advising on promulgating preferential policies for teachers in remote areas; urgently recruiting staff, not allowing contracts to be extended.

The city's education sector needs to thoroughly grasp the viewpoint that "education is the top national policy", closely follow the Central's resolutions, review and develop policies suitable to the characteristics of Da Nang city.
