Lao Cai strives to complete facilities for the 2025-2026 school year

In order to best prepare for the new school year 2025-2026, Lao Cai Department of Education and Training proactively coordinated with departments and branches to advise the Provincial People's Committee to prioritize budget allocation for investment in repairing and building new classrooms, ensuring conditions for organizing educational activities.

After the merger, the province now has 1,040 educational facilities with nearly 15,000 classrooms. The rate of solid classrooms is 86%, of which preschool education has the lowest rate (74%). In many disadvantaged areas, there is still the situation of combined learning, learning through others or using temporary classrooms.

To prepare for the new school year, the province is implementing 200 projects, with a capital allocation of nearly 840 billion VND in 2025. To date, it has completed: 85 classrooms, subject classrooms; 125 boarding rooms, teacher offices and auxiliary works. The Provincial People's Committee has allocated hundreds of billions of VND to repair and upgrade school and classroom facilities.

Mobilizing social resources to consolidate schools is still difficult, especially in remote areas and ethnic minority areas.

By 2030, Lao Cai aims to have 100% of classrooms solidified and have enough public rooms for teachers. To achieve this goal, the province is focusing all resources, especially mobilizing social resources to invest in infrastructure, prioritizing disadvantaged areas.
