According to the Ha Tinh Center for Disease Control, the second outbreak was detected in Lien Phu residential area, Hoanh Son ward, with 3 confirmed cases.
The first case was a child born in 2017, who developed symptoms on May 3rd, including high fever, headache, muscle pain, and loss of appetite. After examination and rapid testing at a medical facility, the patient tested positive for Dengue fever and was transferred to Ky Anh Town General Hospital for treatment.
Through epidemiological investigations, the health sector has discovered two more cases in the same area.

Monitoring results show that the area where the outbreak occurred has a high population density, many water containers that have not been regularly treated, and the index of mosquito larvae and disease-carrying mosquitoes is at a high risk level, posing a potential for the disease to spread if not controlled promptly.
Immediately after detecting the outbreak, the Ha Tinh Center for Disease Control coordinated with the Hoanh Son Ward Health Station to implement comprehensive disease prevention and control measures such as: epidemiological investigation, vector surveillance, environmental sanitation, mosquito larva and pupa eradication, and chemical spraying in 16 households surrounding the area with confirmed cases. Simultaneously, they continued to expand the chemical spraying area to a radius of 200 meters to prevent the risk of a widespread outbreak.
Thus, since the beginning of the year, this is the second dengue fever outbreak in Ha Tinh province. The health sector advises people to proactively implement dengue fever prevention measures such as: covering water containers tightly, regularly cleaning the environment, eliminating mosquito larvae, sleeping under mosquito nets, and going to a medical facility immediately if they have a fever, and not self-treating at home.
