Hai Duong's agricultural land area is currently 103,635 hectares.

According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, in 2020, Hai Duong province had over 105,313 hectares of agricultural land, by 2024 it will be 103,635 hectares, a decrease of 1,678 hectares.

Of which, rice land decreased by over 1,536 hectares, to 57,445 hectares; perennial crop land decreased by nearly 126 hectares, to 20,382 hectares; production forest decreased by nearly 13 hectares, to 2,923 hectares. In addition, aquaculture land, protective forest, and special-use forest also decreased, but not much.

The trend of land use change in the period 2021 - 2024 in the province is towards reducing agricultural land area and increasing non-agricultural land area... In which, non-agricultural production and business land increased by over 1,066 hectares, up to 7,435 hectares, industrial park land increased by nearly 818 hectares, industrial clusters increased by nearly 89 hectares...

This contributes to promoting the development of industry, services and trade in the province.
