Agricultural land in Gia Loc district will be converted for industrial development, infrastructure construction, and small-scale industries.

Gia Loc district currently has over 6,587 hectares of agricultural land. From now until 2030, the district will convert nearly 1,500 hectares, retaining 5,087 hectares. Of this, the largest area will be converted to rice cultivation with 1,257 hectares, followed by 140 hectares of aquaculture land, 102 hectares of perennial crop land, and the remainder being annual crop land and other agricultural land. The converted areas are concentrated in the communes and towns of Gia Loc, Toan Thang, Hoang Dieu, etc.

The converted land area will be used for industrial park development (nearly 578 hectares), infrastructure construction (379 hectares), industrial clusters (114 hectares), with the remainder allocated for defense, ceramics production, building materials, commercial activities, etc.

This was one of the resolutions recently passed at the 11th session of the 20th term of the Gia Loc District People's Council.

The conversion of agricultural land to industrial, service, commercial development, and infrastructure construction aims to increase the productivity value of the land and create a new look for Gia Loc district.
