On October 31, a working delegation of Hai Duong province led by comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, worked with leaders of Foshan City, Guangdong Province (China).
Mr. Bach Dao, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Mayor of Foshan City received and worked with the delegation.
At the meeting, the leaders of Foshan City introduced the highlights of the city's economic, political , cultural and social situation. The leaders of Foshan City also said that through research, they found that Hai Duong has abundant human resources and preferential policies to attract investment that are of great interest to Foshan City's businesses.
With strengths in various types of technology and concentrated industries, this is a condition for cooperation and support between Foshan City and Hai Duong Province to exploit each other's potential markets. Foshan City leaders wish to strengthen trade cooperation; cultural exchange cooperation, especially people-to-people and youth exchanges to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China.
Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province, briefly informed about the economic, political, cultural, social situation and development potentials, and foreign investment attraction work of Hai Duong.
Comrade Le Van Hieu expressed his desire to cooperate with Phat Son in the fields of education, agriculture and solid waste treatment. In the field of education, Hai Duong pays special attention to vocational training for workers to improve the quality of human resources.
In the agricultural sector, Hai Duong has many strong products that can be cooperated for deep processing and export to the Chinese market as well as Guangdong province. Hai Duong is also interested in the current solid waste treatment technology of Foshan City and wishes to cooperate in building high-tech waste treatment plants, protecting the environment...
At the end of the meeting, the two sides discussed and agreed that in the near future, the delegation of Foshan City will visit and work in Hai Duong. The two sides will continue to exchange more deeply in the three areas that Hai Duong has proposed. Thereby, bringing the cooperation between Hai Duong and Foshan City into depth and substance.
On the same morning, a working delegation from Hai Duong province visited and surveyed the lychee growing model combined with tourism at Dong Lam lychee garden, Tang Thanh city, Guangdong province.
Talking to the delegation, the lychee garden owner said that the garden has an area of over 33 hectares, growing 4 different varieties of lychee with harvest time from May to July every year. Notably, the garden owner has combined production with tourism to promote the product. On average, each lychee crop attracts from 20,000 to 30,000 visitors to visit, experience and buy lychees. The annual output is about 300 tons, all of which are sold in the garden.
The gardeners have standardized the production chain, product supply and promotion to attract tourists. This is also a model with many similarities and can be applied to the lychee growing areas of Hai Duong, especially to increase the value of lychee through promotional activities, trade promotion and tourism.
