Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, Head of the Organizing Committee of the third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture", has just signed Decision No. 2513/QD-BTCGBC dated July 21, 2025 promulgating the rules of the award.
Accordingly, the third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to select and award authors or groups of authors with outstanding press works on culture, information, family, sports and tourism published and broadcast by central and local press agencies within the prescribed time; award to typical press agencies with many winning works.

The award aims to recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of collectives and individuals of the press team to the cause of developing Vietnamese culture; to inform and introduce the results and achievements of the work of culture, information, family, sports and tourism, and at the same time, to discover typical advanced examples in the field of culture, information, family, sports and tourism; to encourage and motivate cadres in the whole industry to join hands and continue to contribute more to the cause of developing Vietnamese culture.
The award is selected and awarded to authors or groups of authors, excellent journalistic works, reflecting real people, real events, discovering, accurately and promptly reflecting on groups, individuals, positive actions, typical advanced models, criticizing bad habits and vices in society...
The content of the entries is about the implementation of the 13th National Party Congress Documents into life, Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; the realization of Directives and Resolutions of the Central Committee and Party Committees at all levels; the role and importance of culture in the country's socio -economic development; guiding articles of Party and State leaders associated with the innovation and efforts of the Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism sector.
The content of the work is about anniversaries, major holidays, key events of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the work of building and perfecting institutions, mechanisms and policies in the direction of "creating" and "unleashing" resources; building Vietnamese people in the renovation period, associated with preserving and promoting Vietnamese family values, cultural value systems, national values...
The participating works have content on comprehensive and synchronous development of cultural fields, cultural environment, cultural life; promoting the role of creative subjects and cultural beneficiaries as the people; respecting and protecting diverse cultural expressions; promoting the pioneering role of intellectuals, artists, and cultural workers; development strategies for cultural industries; promoting the development and deployment of artificial intelligence applications, digital transformation of industries; protecting, managing and promoting the value of cultural heritage; promoting the development of reading culture in communities, families, schools and society; the press with the responsibility of spreading messages about the era of national growth; digital transformation of journalism; celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (1925-2025); topics on building a healthy cultural environment in cyberspace...
The content of the work is about achievements and lessons for Vietnamese sports to reach new heights; outstanding marks of Vietnamese tourism; education and building family culture in modern times; typical collectives and individuals, advanced models in building and developing Vietnamese culture and people...
Each journalistic work participating in the contest must be published or broadcast in no more than 5 installments; in the genres of reflection articles, reports, investigations, documentaries, memoirs, talk shows (except live radio and television programs)... on culture, information, family, sports and tourism, published or broadcast for the first time in the following types of press: Print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television, photo newspapers from June 16, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
Collective awards, with 3 equal prizes, were given to 3 press agencies with many works participating in the competition, achieving high results. Individual awards include 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, 5 third prizes, and 10 encouragement prizes for each type of press.
The closing and award ceremony is expected to be held in Hanoi on October 20, 2025.
