(NLDO) - 268 kg of frozen food of unknown origin and foul smell were promptly discovered by Binh Thuan police.


On December 29, Binh Thuan Provincial Police said they were seizing a large quantity of goods of unknown origin to conduct investigation and handling.

Previously, on the morning of December 28, the Department of Investigation Police on Crimes of Corruption, Economy , Smuggling, and Environment, Binh Thuan Provincial Police coordinated with the Market Management Department of Binh Thuan Province to inspect a grocery store on Bui Thi Xuan Street, Xuan An Ward, Phan Thiet City.

During the inspection, the authorities discovered 268 kg of frozen processed food including: young chicken eggs, pig breasts, beef tendons... and many types of candy, dried fruits of unknown origin.

In which, frozen food is in poor quality and has a foul smell.

During the investigation, the owner of the facility could not present relevant documents and invoices to certify the origin of the above goods.

Currently, the authorities have taken samples of the products for testing and sealed and seized all of the above products according to the provisions of law.
