According to the Hai Phong City Electronic Information Portal, speaking at the event, Mr. Le Anh Quan said that South Korea is currently the second largest investor in terms of the number of projects with 186 projects and the largest in terms of total registered investment capital in Hai Phong, reaching 14.2 billion USD. Projects of South Korean investors operate effectively, focusing on high-tech products, contributing to increasing the technology and science content of local enterprises, promoting export turnover, creating jobs and making important contributions to the city budget.
Mr. Le Anh Quan affirmed that Hai Phong highly appreciates the business community in general, especially Korean enterprises, which have actively accompanied the city's development in recent times. The city is committed to always accompanying and creating favorable conditions for FDI enterprises to confidently invest long-term, effectively and sustainably in the locality.
In the coming time, Hai Phong will continue to focus on improving the business investment environment, supporting enterprises in accessing land, credit, human resources and training high-quality labor resources. At the same time, the city will promote support for domestic enterprises, especially small enterprises, to build the capacity to cooperate with FDI enterprises, access advanced technology and cooperate effectively with Korean enterprises.

At the seminar, delegates focused on discussing key groups of content such as: the situation of labor supply for Korean enterprises in Hai Phong; challenges in training skilled technical workers; strengthening connections between Vietnamese and Korean enterprises in the supporting industry to optimize the supply chain and increase the localization rate.
Mr. Seog Myeong Gug, Chairman of the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hai Phong (KOCHAM), emphasized the importance of strengthening the connection between Vietnamese and Korean enterprises, especially in the supporting supply chain and human resource development. Extensive cooperation will help enterprises reduce production costs, improve competitiveness and expand international markets.
Mr. Lee Kyung Hee, Vice President of KOCHAM Hai Phong, proposed many solutions to improve the investment environment, noting the key role of high-quality human resources. He suggested that the city strengthen vocational training according to international standards, develop industrial engineering, automation, artificial intelligence, and expand Korean language and soft skills teaching. He proposed to build a joint training program between Vietnamese and Koreaneducational institutions, including student and lecturer exchanges and internship programs at enterprises.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Phu, Director of Thang Long International Solutions Joint Stock Company, said that small and medium enterprises still face difficulties in approaching large enterprises, especially FDI enterprises. Therefore, this discussion is an important first step to promote mutual understanding, creating a foundation for practical and effective cooperation opportunities in the future.
