Navy gives new school year gifts to fishermen's children

On the afternoon of September 3, in Phuoc Hai commune, Ho Chi Minh city, Brigade 171, Naval Region 2 visited and presented gifts to Nguyen Le Phat Loc and Hoang Tuan Anh, the two children the Brigade sponsored on the occasion of the new school year.

During the 2024-2025 school year, Loc and Tuan Anh always tried their best in studying, being good, often helping their mother with housework and helping their younger siblings. Loc's family is in a particularly difficult situation, his father passed away in 2018 due to an accident at sea, his mother alone struggled to take care of the two children's education, his mother, Loan, is suffering from a terrible cancer.

Tuan Anh's family situation is also difficult, his father died early while at sea, his mother raised 4 siblings alone to go to school, Ms. Ngau, Tuan Anh's mother, worked as a sandwich shop assistant until late at night.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Tuyen, Political Commissar of the Brigade, kindly visited the family and encouraged the two children to be more active in the new school year. On behalf of the unit, the Political Commissar of the Brigade gave each child a cash gift worth 2 million VND and school supplies for the new school year.
