Two universities are allowed by the Government to train at intermediate level.

Accordingly, the Government Office has issued Notice 33 of conclusions of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the meeting on the proposal to allow the Fire Prevention and Fighting University and the People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics to organize intermediate-level training.

In this announcement, the Government and the Prime Minister welcomed the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security for always upholding the positive spirit and proactively training the country's human resources in the new situation.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha basically agreed with the report of the Ministry of Public Security on the necessity of training human resources in the police force with intermediate qualifications to meet the requirements of the task of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety that the Party and State currently set for the police force, in accordance with the characteristics of schools in the armed forces.

In order to promptly meet the requirements of the task and be consistent with the Party's policies and relevant legal regulations, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that in the long term, the Ministry of Public Security coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to continue reviewing and studying the Law on Education, the Law on University Education and the Law on Vocational Education to advise on amendments, ensuring connectivity for learners.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that in the immediate future, the Ministry of Public Security, based on its assigned functions and tasks, develop a project to establish intermediate-level training facilities under the Fire Prevention and Fighting University and the People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics on the basis of arranging and perfecting the organizational structure of these two universities to ensure compliance with the spirit of "continuing to innovate and arrange the organizational structure of the Ministry of Public Security to be streamlined, effective and efficient" in Resolution No. 22 dated March 15, 2018 of the Politburo.

At the same time, the Ministry of Home Affairs will evaluate or consider the training cooperation plan between these two universities and vocational training institutions to organize training to grant intermediate degrees to learners.
