Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Tan Dung presented the decision to establish a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education in Binh Phuoc to the school's representative.

The Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education Branch in Binh Phuoc was decided by the Ministry of Education and Training on June 12, on the basis of receiving all public assets from Binh Phuoc College, with an area of about 9 hectares.
According to the development roadmap, in the period of 2024 - 2036, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education Branch will be invested with about 341 billion VND, with an expected training scale of about 5,900 students . In 2025, the branch will begin enrolling students for full-time university training with 12 majors, including: electrical and electronic engineering technology; control and automation engineering technology; information technology; e-commerce... with an expected scale of nearly 500 students.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Tan Dung said that the branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education in Binh Phuoc has special significance, not only for the school and the locality but also for the education sector of Binh Phuoc province. The establishment of the branch not only affirms the position of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education but also marks a new step forward in improving the quality of human resources, meeting the needs of socio -economic development of Binh Phuoc province, the Southeast region and the Central Highlands.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung noted that Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education needs to soon complete its organizational structure, develop its human resources, build a suitable financial model that is autonomous, self-responsible, and creates development motivation; research and expand new training majors, and train on demand, in order to meet the demand for high-quality human resources for the province.

Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh, Vice Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee, said that currently in Binh Phuoc education system, there is no university. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education Branch is the first university in the province. The establishment of this branch not only creates opportunities for students to study at university right in their hometown, but also serves as a place to train high-quality human resources to serve the development of the province.
