Limit X-rays, detect small lesions early with the latest generation CT scanner

With super fast shooting speed and technology that reduces more than 85% of X-rays in each shot, the latest generation of super CT scanner system can be used for children, pregnant women, and people with special medical conditions because the shooting time only needs to be between 2 heartbeats or between 1 breath.

The latest generation of super CT scanner system - Somatom Force VB30 from Germany, with the fastest scanning speed and the largest number of slices in the world, has been put into use in Vietnam. Currently, this very modern CT scanner system is only available in a few large hospitals in the US and around the world . Tam Anh General Hospital system is the only address in Vietnam, and few hospitals in Southeast Asia own this equipment.

This CT scanner system takes less than 2 seconds to capture the entire body. The maximum number of slices can be up to more than 100,000 slices in just one shot, AI artificial intelligence software guides the selection of the capture area for super sharp images, super thin slices of 0.4 mm.

Therefore, this system can help doctors observe and detect very early and accurately microscopic lesions at the millimeter level in the blood vessels of the brain, coronary arteries or organs such as the liver, lungs, pancreas or bones and joints, to diagnose and detect early dangerous diseases such as stroke, heart attack, tumors, organ cancer...

Phó Giáo sư, Tiến sĩ Nguyễn Xuân Hiền chia sẻ thông tin về hệ thống chụp CT mới.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hien shares information about the new CT scan system.

Super fast shooting speed and technology that reduces more than 85% of X-rays in each shot, making it much safer than previous generation CT machines. This system can be used for children, pregnant women, and people with special medical conditions because the shooting time only takes between 2 heartbeats or between 1 breath.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hien, Director of the Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology, Tam Anh General Hospital, Hanoi , said that in recent years, CT scanning technology has continuously made great strides, from 64 slices to 256, 512, 1975 slices and has now developed to a generation of super machines with the ability to reproduce more than 100,000 slices in one scan like CT Somatom Force VB30. This super machine is scarce in the world, only available at a few leading medical centers in the US, Germany, the Netherlands, etc.

Mr. Fabian Martin Singer, Managing Director of Siemens Healthineers Vietnam, said that this is the system with the fastest scanning speed in the world, so it will provide great support for difficult cardiovascular CT scans such as patients with high heart rate, arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation... which previous CT systems could not do.

In addition, the system also helps detect small lesions at an early stage, suitable for inclusion in health screening and cancer screening programs.

Professor, Dr. Ngo Quy Chau, Deputy General Director of Tam Anh General Hospital System, said that the super CT Somatom Force VB30 machine will be prioritized for use in diagnosing and screening for early detection of dangerous diseases that are medical challenges such as stroke, heart attack, coronary artery disease, cardiovascular disease, cancer, brain tumors; diseases of the lungs, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, musculoskeletal system, urinary system, etc.

Ông Simon Kreye, Phó Đại sứ Cộng hòa Liên bang Đức tại Việt Nam đánh giá việc máy CT Somatom Force VB30 ra mắt tại Việt Nam là minh chứng cho mối quan hệ hợp tác bền chặt giữa hai quốc gia trong lĩnh vực y tế.

Mr. Simon Kreye, Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam, assessed that the launch of the Somatom Force VB30 CT machine in Vietnam is a testament to the strong cooperation between the two countries in the medical field.

The launch of the Somatom Force VB30 CT scanner is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany (1975-2025). Mr. Simon Kreye, Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam, assessed that the event not only marked an important step forward in the development of medicine in Vietnam but also demonstrated the strong cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Germany, especially in the fields of technology and medicine.

According to Mr. Kreye, with close cooperation between Vietnam's leading hospitals and leading German medical technology companies, Vietnam's healthcare industry will continue to develop, moving towards ever higher standards of excellence.
