Vietnamese airlines compete with international airlines to the Philippines
According to information from Vietnam Airlines , on June 17, the airline flew its first flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila, Philippines. This is the first Vietnamese airline to open a route to the Philippines.
The airline will operate 7 flights per week between Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City and Manila. Flights will be operated at Terminal T1, Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Round-trip fares are 141 USD, about 3.5 million VND/passenger.
According to airlines, the Philippines is one of the potential markets attracting competition from international airlines carrying passengers between Vietnam and the Philippines.
Vietnam Airlines said it will serve tourists , business travelers, as well as the community of nearly 30,000 Vietnamese people living in the Philippines and about 7,000 Filipinos residing in Vietnam.

Previously, flights from Vietnam to the Philippines were departing from three major airports: Noi Bai, Da Nang, and Tan Son Nhat international airports, operated by foreign airlines such as Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Air Asia, Philippines AirAsia, Royal Brunei Airlines, etc.
There are airlines that operate direct flights and transit flights, so depending on which airline passengers choose, there will be different flight schedules.
Because there are many airlines, ticket prices range from 2.5 to 4 million VND/round trip. Depending on the time passengers book tickets and choose the ticket class, airlines will have different prices.
A 3-day, 2-night tour from Ho Chi Minh City to the Philippines is being sold for 6.5 - 8 million VND/person. The best time to travel and explore Manila is from February to August every year.
