A series of famous hits were performed at TH School's biggest music festival of the year.

“We have practiced for a long time to prepare for our explosive performance on stage. The concert is an opportunity for us to express ourselves as well as bring joy to everyone,” Nguyen Tran Tram Anh, a 6th grade student at TH School, Chua Boc campus, excitedly shared.

Full of emotion and color in Winter Music Festival 2024

With the loud music, sparkling lights next to colorfully decorated Christmas trees, TH School students had a satisfying performance at the 2024 Winter Music Festival event with the theme "The Joy of Music" recently held at Chua Boc campus.

The special version of "Drum Rice" that appeared on a famous game show is now recreated on the stage of the 2024 Winter Music Festival by young artists from grades 11 and 12 of Hoa Lac TH School.

From Kindergarten to Primary and Secondary School, all the children were able to perform songs imbued with traditional Vietnamese culture as well as famous international songs such as We are the champions, Rolling in the deep, I'm yours, All I want for Christmas is you, Snow man... Each performance is a separate story, told through sounds, dances and the innocence in each of the children's eyes and smiles. In addition, the young artists also demonstrated their ability to play folk instruments such as drums and T'rung to the music of Chiec khan pieu, Di hoc, Trong com...

Sharing her feelings after the successful performance, Nguyen Tran Tram Anh, a 6th grader, said: “Today, I feel very happy to be able to show off my singing ability in front of the crowd. I am also proud that the 6th grade group performed many songs continuously with the right rhythm and lyrics. We have practiced for a long time to prepare for our explosive performance on stage. The concert is an opportunity for us to express ourselves as well as bring joy to everyone through cheerful melodies. I hope that everyone will enjoy our performance.”

High school students delighted the audience when they used recycled plastic barrels as drums to perform to the song APT - a song that is taking the world music charts by storm.

Angela Rosie Vy Mcfarlane, a Grade 6 student, was also very excited after performing 3 choir pieces. “I am very confident in my performances and I feel proud of that. This joy is thanks to the enthusiastic guidance of the music teachers and we seriously practiced after lunch.”

Angela is a student who participates in many music programs organized by the school every year. The female student said that this is her 5th year studying at the school and she is very happy to have friendly, loving, and sharing teachers and friends.

“The students have been practicing and preparing for the 2024 Winter Concert for three months. Normally, they would practice together under the guidance of their teachers after school. The students experienced a range of emotions, from excitement, joy, to sometimes being very busy because they were both reviewing for tests and practicing at their best. However, on the day of the concert, all the students were full of positive energy. Some students also became more confident, actively registering for solo performances, no longer shy to express themselves in front of a crowd.

I believe that Music is a subject that nurtures happiness in every student, as well as helps them practice and develop both academic knowledge and artistic talent. Music also plays a role in balancing emotions, taking care of mental health, helping students always find joy to continue to try and proactively develop themselves.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Trang, a Music teacher who has taught at TH School for the past two years, said: “The theme of this year’s program is “The Joy of Music”, an inspiring theme that celebrates the joy and connection that music brings. The concert is not only a playground for students to express their talents and passions, but also a place for them to experience the happiness of performing in front of teachers, friends and family. Every note, every performance is an opportunity for students to express their emotions, become more confident and feel the power of creativity”.

According to Ms. Thuy Trang, the program also brings pride and joy to parents when they see their children shine on stage, while creating memorable moments in the TH School community. This is an opportunity for everyone to connect with each other through the borderless language of music, spreading the message of love, empathy and solidarity.

“The winter music festival is a convergence of the dedication, hard work, passion for art of TH School students and the correct teaching methods of teachers”, affirmed Mr. Tom Pado, General Principal of TH School.

Primary School Choir "treats" audience with Christmas medley

Winter Concert 2024 - an annual event held at TH School not only brings excitement to students and teachers but also brings emotions to parents.

Ms. Doan Phuong Thuy, parent of two children, Nguyen Tam Nhu, class 11H3 student and Nguyen Nhat Vuong, class 5D, expressed: “I participated in two music concerts in two blocks of Primary and Secondary School. I was not too surprised by the scale of the organization of the school because I witnessed the past 6 years of my children studying at the school, every year it was grand, the teachers guided and arranged carefully. The children practiced happily and eagerly, waiting for the program every day”.

According to Ms. Thuy, she decided to send her two children to study at TH School because she was satisfied with the school's facilities and had previously had children who were excellent students studying there.

“After studying here, my child has shown many advantages such as independence, initiative, self-study, and good language skills. My child has developed comprehensively in body, mind, and spirit. In addition to good learning ability, my child has participated in many sports activities such as chess, basketball, and soccer.

I don’t have to worry about my child’s studies. When he comes home, he is always cheerful and happy. He often mentions his teacher in every story, saying, “My teacher said this, my teacher said that.” He loves, respects and listens to his teacher very much,” said Ms. Thuy.

Her child is equipped with comprehensive development skills, Ms. Thuy added, she is completely confident in sending her child to study Economics in Australia.

Ms. Ta Thi Khanh Van, mother of Nguyen Ngoc Duc, a student in class 10C, commented: “My child participated in 2 performances: class singing, playing the guitar and singing for the whole school. This is the 4th season I have attended the festival. Each time there are different surprises for each parent. This is also what I like because the program is highly artistic but not academic. The children also get to know traditional musical instruments. Although the school follows an international system, Vietnamese culture is always preserved. Not every school has this.”

Ms. Van is very pleased when her son studies at TH School. “Every day, my son is happy and cheerful when he goes to school, even though he has to take the bus to school at 6:30. Every day when he comes home from school, he is sweaty and his shoes wear out very quickly, proving that he exercises a lot at school. Comprehensive development between academics and physical fitness at school helps children look at life more deeply and balance their lives. After 4 years of studying, I see that my children always respect teachers, friends and staff at the school. Education at TH School helps children behave well. Friends play, support and have fun from the first day of school until now.”
