A series of Facebook groups in Vietnam have stopped operating simultaneously.

On the afternoon of June 24, a series of Facebook groups in Vietnam suddenly received the notification "We have suspended your group". This problem was recorded in many groups in different fields, such as shopping, entertainment, technology,...

Mr. Ngo Minh Hieu, administrator of several fanpages and groups on cyber security, also shared a similar situation with the groups he is managing.

Not only was he suspended, Facebook also asked him to change the name of the two groups he was an administrator of. When accessing, the group has now been renamed to "Group title pending".

"I have contacted Meta for handling and support. I am not sure if this is a technical error of the platform or if a group is exploiting the error on the platform to report it in bulk," Mr. Hieu shared.

Faced with this situation, many administrators have proactively disabled the group's activity. When accessing these groups, users will receive a message saying "This group is currently suspended". Users also cannot post content, send messages or share any images.

As of the morning of June 25, Meta has not made any comments about the incident.
