The countryside food court (Long Dien District, Ba Ria-Vung Tau) was established with many mobile stalls made of bamboo selling spring rolls, banh khot, banh hoi, grilled bananas, fish cake sandwiches, grilled corn... The dishes are priced at affordable prices of 5,000 - 25,000 VND.
On the afternoon of March 20, the rural food court at Cau Moc canal, An Nhut commune officially reopened. Right from the first day of re-opening, this food court attracted thousands of locals and tourists to visit and experience.
Previously, the countryside food court had been operating in the An Nhut bridge area since January 2023. After a period of operation, it has attracted a large number of locals and tourists from near and far to experience every day, enjoy the dishes as well as "check-in" the countryside area. This area then caused a "fever" on social networks because it is located on a road in the middle of green rice fields, along a clear blue canal.
This is a model that contributes to creating livelihoods for local people, a direction for developing community tourism in rural areas. However, due to some arising issues regarding traffic safety, food hygiene, environmental hygiene... the local government has temporarily suspended the operation of this culinary spot since March 1 to completely handle the above problems.
On the afternoon of March 20, the countryside food court reopened and had additional lighting poles, and the bridges connecting the two banks of the canal and along the canal were also constructed with railings to create highlights. The countryside food court, which had just reopened, welcomed a record number of visitors, up to thousands of people. Locals and tourists crowded together to visit and buy food and drinks.
Mr. Tran Thanh Tien (28 years old, Ba Ria City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau) shared: "I am really happy to hear that this food court is operating again. This time I see that the market is cleaner and more beautiful than before." Not only Mr. Tien, many people after visiting on the first day the food court was operating again all had words of praise.
Mr. Lam Van Hong, Chairman of Long Dien District People's Committee, shared: "The operation of the rural food court in An Nhut commune will contribute to creating livelihoods for people, especially poor and disadvantaged households. The locality has prioritized the arrangement of households participating in the night food court activities, which are poor and disadvantaged households without jobs."
The rural food court will operate from 4pm to 10pm daily. The Long Dien District People's Committee has also requested Long Dien Town and An Ngai, An Nhut, and Tam Phuoc communes, which have internal roads, to plant trees and suitable flowers along these roads to create a landscape and continue to attract tourists.
