Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council surveyed many key traffic projects connecting Ba Ria - Vung Tau area

The working delegation of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council has just surveyed a number of key projects connecting the old Ba Ria - Vung Tau area in preparation for the upcoming People's Council meeting.

On the afternoon of October 16, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Vo Van Minh led a working delegation to conduct a field survey of key traffic projects and works connecting the old Ba Ria - Vung Tau area.

The survey was conducted right after the successful organization of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress. This activity is in preparation for the upcoming People's Council meeting to realize the results of the congress and soon bring key traffic projects into reality.

Accordingly, the working group conducted a field survey at the intersection connecting provincial road 991B and the inter-port road, the land where the free trade zone associated with the seaport will be built in Cai Mep Ha area, Tan Phuoc ward.

In addition, the delegation also surveyed the Phuoc An bridge project and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway.

At the survey points, the delegation listened to reports from units on the master plan of key transport projects, plans to connect the old Ba Ria - Vung Tau area with the Cai Mep Ha free trade zone, as well as the implementation status of projects and capital disbursement at works...

Mr. Vo Van Minh, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, said that many key projects and works have been identified for the 2025 - 2030 term.

In particular, the Cai Mep - Thi Vai port area and the connecting routes in the former Ba Ria - Vung Tau area with Long Thanh airport and the center of Ho Chi Minh City are very important.

Mr. Vo Van Minh assessed that this is an area with a lot of potential associated with the free trade zone and the exploitation capacity of Cai Mep - Thi Vai port.

At the same time, he emphasized that paying attention to investment and completing synchronous infrastructure for this area is extremely necessary and urgent to help the region develop more strongly, while contributing to promoting the overall development of the whole city.
