According to the representative of the management board of General Vo Nguyen Giap's tomb, every day on the occasion of Lunar New Year, Vung Chua - Yen Island welcomes thousands of people and tourists from all over the country to visit, offer incense, and pay tribute to the nation's general.

In recent days, the weather in Quang Binh has been sunny and a bit chilly, very favorable for people to go out and offer incense.

Although the number of visitors coming to visit and offer incense has increased, the management, protection and guidance work... has been done very well by the cemetery management board. Creating a solemn and orderly atmosphere in the first days of Spring.

On this occasion, people and tourists visiting the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap will be able to admire the garden of yellow apricot blossoms in full bloom, competing to show off their colors. This apricot garden has 103 trees, planted in 2014, symbolizing the 103 years of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

"After a few days of returning to my hometown in Nghe An to celebrate Tet, today my whole family went to Da Nang to continue work. When arriving in Quang Binh, my family and I went to the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap to offer incense and pay tribute to the General's contributions. This year the weather was favorable so the number of people visiting the tomb was quite large," said Vo Viet Truong, a resident of Nghe An province.

Before Lunar New Year, General Vo Nguyen Giap's family returned to Vung Chua - Yen Island, organized a Chung cake wrapping ceremony, and offered to the General's grave a Nhat Tan peach tree, a white apricot tree (nhat chi mai) and two black tea trees.
