Mr. Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper, said that over the past 16 years, the Red Sunday program has attracted the participation and support of millions of volunteer hearts, contributing thousands of units of blood to the medical sector .

These are not only impressive numbers but also touching stories about sharing, humanity, and kindness in the community.

On average, Red Sunday receives about 55,000 units of blood each year, in 55 provinces/cities across the country.

Red Sunday is not simply a humanitarian blood donation program, but also contributes to promoting more deeply the meaning of donating blood to save lives.

"When we donate blood, it is not only an act of giving life but also a concrete expression of compassion, love and responsibility towards the community," said Mr. Suong.

If in 2009, the first year the program was held in Hanoi, 96 units of blood were received, then up to now, after 16 years, the Organizing Committee has received over 400,000 units of blood.

"This is a truly impressive number, a symbol of love and compassion, contributing to the proud tradition of mutual love and support of the Vietnamese people," said the Deputy Minister of Health.
