With the theme "Be creative, be iconic," the event kicked off in September 2024 and concluded with the Vietnam Digital Content Creators Festival in November 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Director of the Department of Broadcasting and Electronic Information Le Quang Tu Do said: "This is a program that the organizing committee has been nurturing and passionate about for a long time, and today all the necessary elements are ripe for implementation."
In 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications organized the first meeting to connect digital content creators and management companies of the three major platforms in Vietnam today: Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. Their fervent wish was to be recognized by the state and given official names.
For a long time, those working in this field lacked any official title or networking opportunities. During this process, some content creators went astray, chasing views and creating content recklessly. This resulted in platforms featuring negative, sensationalist, and even harmful and illegal content.
"That's why we created Vietnam iContent - the Vietnamese NDS Creators Festival - to convey the message: Create clean content, and you will thrive on clean content," Director Le Quang Tu Do emphasized.

Vietnam iContent 2024 will include the following main activities:
Vietnam iContent Awards 2024: Honoring organizations/groups/individuals who create content on digital platforms in the Vietnamese market.
The awards will take place from September to November 2024 on the program's website vnexpress.net/doi-song/vietnam-icontent with 3 expected stages: Nomination Round (from September 9, 2024 - October 9, 2024), Preliminary Round (from October 16, 2024 - October 30, 2024) and Final Round (from November 7, 2024 - November 19, 2024).
The Vietnam iContent Awards 2024 includes 4 main categories with awards: (1) Digital Platform: International Social Network of the Year; Domestic Social Network of the Year; Vietnamese Entertainment Platform of the Year; (2) Digital Creator: Content Creator of the Year; Channel/Page/Community Group of the Year; Promising Content Creator; Most Popular Content Creator; (3) Digital Product: Inspirational Music; Inspirational Television Program; Inspirational Video ; Digital Phenomenon of the Year; (4) For the Community: Organization for the Community; Individual for the Community.
Vietnam iContent 2024 will take place at the end of November 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City.
