If the plan is implemented, Mr. Netanyahu will be the first foreign leader to visit the White House after President Trump's inauguration on January 20.
Mr. Donald Trump was officially inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, in a ceremony at the Capitol in Washington DC, becoming the first US President since the 19th century to be elected to this position for two non-consecutive terms.
In another development related to Israel, on the same day, January 27, government spokesman David Mencer said that eight hostages among those expected to be released in the first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas were killed.
According to the official, the families of the hostages have been informed of the status of their loved ones. This means that of the 26 hostages awaiting release in the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, only 18 are still alive.
