P-Coin Green Credit System "Digital Movement - Green Connection"

On the morning of July 5, in Hanoi, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Youth Union of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) officially launched the pilot version of the P-Coin Green Credit System - a pioneering step in applying and deploying blockchain technology in the higher education environment.

The P-Coin Green Credit System is an applied research project conducted by a team of young lecturers from the Academy's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The project not only marks an innovation ineducational management thinking but also opens up a creative approach in promoting green lifestyles and sustainable development in the student community.

Attending the launching ceremony were Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Deputy Director of the Academy; Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Deputy Director of the Academy; Comrade Chung Hai Bang, Secretary of the Youth Union, representatives of departments, centers, and research institutes under the Academy.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Quang Anh highly appreciated the efforts of the group of young lecturers in the process of building and developing the system; at the same time, he emphasized that these are young lecturers and young scientists born in the 90s who are ready to devote themselves to scientific research; and are Gen Z students, under the guidance of young lecturers, who are not afraid of difficulties, not afraid of hardships, and are willing to devote themselves to their passion for science.

It is the connection between generations that creates new energy, bringing scientific ideas from the laboratory closer to life - so that science is not just a theory but becomes a tool to create a better future.

The first pilot version of the P-Coin Green Credit System once again affirms the pioneering spirit, creativity and determination to put technology into practice for a modern and sustainable school environment.

P-Coin is designed as an internal digital credit system, where positive activities such as cycling, picking up trash, planting trees or donating blood, etc. are recorded and converted into P-Coin reward points.

The P-Coin Green Credit System is an initiative that combines blockchain technology with activities to promote green living on campus. This is PTIT's pioneering step in realizing the policy of innovation and application of digital technology in the university environment.

Users can interact through applications in the ecosystem to connect the digital world and real-life behaviors. However, P-Coin is only for internal use, cannot be converted into real money, does not allow buying, selling or speculating, and is fully compliant with Vietnamese law.

Through this project, PTIT not only aims to test advanced digital technology, but also aims to build a green, healthy and creative learning space – where students are encouraged to act for the community and develop skills in the digital environment.

With the roadmap from testing to future digital ecosystem, the P-Coin Green Credit System will continue to expand in scale and function, aiming to build an internal digital financial playground, integrating digital assets, operational credits, and a modern academic interaction platform for the PTIT student community.

The project is not only a management tool or a positive behavior incentive, but also an important experimental step in the process of comprehensive digital transformation of higher education.
