Voluntary blood donation spreads love

On July 24, the Provincial Federation of Labor coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross to organize the 2025 voluntary blood donation festival at Hwaseung Rach Gia Limited Company. For the first time, the voluntary blood donation program at the enterprise brought positive results, mobilizing 152 people to register and collecting more than 130 units of blood.

Organizing blood donation at the enterprise, workers and employees can participate more easily because after donating blood, they can still go to work, without affecting the company's overall production plan. Early in the morning, many union members and employees gathered at the company, lined up in an orderly manner to register to donate blood.

Upon receiving information about the voluntary blood donation activity organized right at the company, Ms. Le Thi Be (36 years old) - a worker at Hwaseung Rach Gia Limited Liability Company registered to participate. Ms. Be said: “I have donated blood since I was 26 years old. I see that donating blood does not affect my health, so for the past 10 years I have donated blood regularly twice a year. I believe that each unit of blood I donate will save a person, so I am very happy and joyful. I am in good health so I am willing to donate blood to save people.”

Directly donating blood voluntarily, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh said: “Voluntary blood donation is a major social movement, with profound humanitarian significance. This is the first time the Provincial Labor Federation has organized voluntary blood donation at enterprises to mobilize union members, workers, and laborers to participate in blood donation, contributing to making up for the shortage of blood at medical facilities, promptly treating patients”.

After donating blood, workers and employees returned to their daily work, everyone was happy because they had just performed a noble act, spreading love to patients in need of blood transfusion. Ms. Ton Nu My Hanh - President of the Trade Union of Hwaseung Rach Gia Limited Liability Company shared: "At first, when implementing the voluntary blood donation campaign, I was very worried that workers and employees would not participate. I was very excited because the activity was supported by the Company's Board of Directors, creating favorable conditions, and workers and employees enthusiastically participated.

Seeing the meaningful activity, the Board of Directors of the Company wishes to organize regular voluntary blood donations in the coming time. Through these voluntary blood donations, the Company connects people with rare blood types, aiming to establish a rare blood club to promptly provide emergency care and treatment for patients with rare blood types.

According to the Provincial Federation of Labor, in order to effectively carry out the voluntary blood donation movement, the Provincial Federation of Labor actively promotes the noble meaning of donating blood to save lives, thereby enthusiastically participating by union members and workers. Since the beginning of 2025, the provincial trade unions at all levels have coordinated with the Red Cross at all levels to organize many voluntary blood donation campaigns, collecting nearly 1,700 units of blood.
