'Application of evidence-based medicine in research and clinical practice of traditional medicine'

On October 2, Kien Giang Traditional Medicine Hospital (An Giang province) organized a scientific workshop with the theme "Application of evidence-based medicine in research and clinical practice of traditional medicine".

Nearly 100 doctors, nurses, and technicians related to traditional medicine from provincial hospitals and medical centers in An Giang province participated in the workshop. Thereby, the aim is to share experiences in applying evidence-based medicine to research on traditional medicine treatment methods and modern medical methods, helping doctors and medical staff update useful research works and improve their professional qualifications in medical examination and treatment.

Prof. Dr. Phan Quan Chi Hieu, former Head of the Faculty of Traditional Medicine, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, reports on scientific research topics.

At the workshop, Prof. Dr. Phan Quan Chi Hieu, former Head of the Faculty of Traditional Medicine, former Director of the Center for Medical Education, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, reported on 3 scientific research topics, including: Applying evidence-based medicine in research and clinical practice of traditional medicine in the world and in the country, comments and recommendations; identifying high-priority topics for post-stroke rehabilitation intervention to be included in clinical practice; identifying a set of core criteria (standard test set) based on consensus used in evaluating the results of post-stroke motor rehabilitation in clinical practice.
