Speaking at the conference, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai emphasized that the implementation of the conclusions of General Secretary To Lam is the basis and premise for An Giang to organize the implementation of tasks in the coming time and is a very clear orientation in all aspects of work.

In particular, implementing the General Secretary's conclusions focuses on 6 key groups of tasks. Specifically, including: Building a clean and strong Party and political system; tightening discipline; improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations; preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity. Making a breakthrough in economic development, especially economic restructuring, developing the marine economy, attracting strategic investment, developing Phu Quoc into a new growth pole; effectively exploiting the sea and islands, associated with combating IUU fishing. Comprehensively developing culture and society; improving the quality of education, health care, social security; strengthening national defense, security, and foreign affairs; building a solid defense posture at the border, sea and islands. Carefully and well preparing the conditions to serve the 2027 APEC Summit in Phu Quoc, considering this a particularly important political task; on building and developing Tho Chau special zone.

Regarding the work of reviewing, evaluating and classifying quality in 2025, Party committees, localities, agencies and units must closely follow the instructions, properly implement their authority, properly implement the procedures, and report fully and promptly. Comrades especially noted that the review and evaluation must closely follow the implementation of political tasks, economic and social development of each agency, unit and locality; and perform the duties and tasks in arranging the organization and apparatus of each agency, unit, commune, ward and special zone.

Regarding the preparation for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai directed all levels and sectors to clearly understand the guiding documents of the Central Government and the province on election work; understand correctly and fully to properly implement the regulations.

During the implementation process, it is necessary to thoroughly grasp and creatively apply the Central resolutions, resolutions on administrative unit arrangement, development of the Mekong Delta region to adapt to climate change, development of marine economy, and building and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.

Do a good job of political and ideological education so that cadres, party members and people are imbued with new development orientations, closely combining rapid development with sustainability; linking the economy with culture, society and environment; harmonizing land, border and sea and island spaces; improving the effectiveness of land management, urban architectural space management, conserving forest and marine ecosystems; between growth and ensuring national defense and security, maintaining sovereignty over borders, seas and islands and social order and safety.

According to the plan of An Giang Provincial Party Committee on reviewing, evaluating and classifying collectives and individuals in the political system of An Giang province in 2025, the time for reviewing collectives and individuals is at least 1 day. For collectives and members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, it is at least 2 days.

The review, assessment and classification of collective and individual quality in 2025 will be conducted and completed before December 20, 2025. In particular, cadres under the management of the Politburo and Secretariat will complete the review, assessment and classification before December 15, 2025.

Standing Committee member, Head of the Organization Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Pham Hoang Nam deployed documents related to the work of reviewing, evaluating, and classifying collectives and individuals in the political system of An Giang province in 2025 and the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

According to the plan of the Provincial Election Committee, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The election takes place after the 14th National Congress of the Party, when the entire Party, people and army organize the implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.

It is expected that the number of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term in An Giang province will be 21 (of which 10 deputies will be introduced by central agencies and organizations; 11 deputies will be introduced by local agencies and organizations).

The number of People's Council delegates is implemented according to the Law on Organization of Local Government and Resolution No. 107/2025/NQ-UBTVQH15, dated October 16, 2025 of the National Assembly Standing Committee guiding the determination of the expected structure, composition and allocation of the number of people recommended to run for People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The number of constituencies for electing deputies to the People's Council at the provincial and communal levels, the list of constituencies and the number of deputies to be elected in each constituency shall be determined by the Election Committee at that level upon the proposal of the People's Committee at the same level and shall be announced no later than December 25, 2025.

The first consultation conference to introduce candidates for National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels must be completed no later than December 10, 2025; the second by February 3, 2026; and the third by February 20, 2026. The Election Committee must prepare and announce the official list of candidates for People's Council deputies in each constituency no later than February 26, 2026.

The list of voters is prepared by the People's Committee at the commune level for each polling area. The list of voters in the People's Armed Forces is prepared by the unit commander for each People's Armed Forces unit to be included in the list of voters in the polling area where the unit is stationed.

The list of voters must be posted at the headquarters of the People's Committee at the commune level and at public places of the polling area no later than February 3, 2026, and the list of voters must be widely announced and posted for people to check.
