Hope the Union is strong for better workers' lives

* Mr. Truong Thanh Kien - Chairman of Rach Gia Ward Trade Union:

I hope that the congress will continue to make correct decisions, creating new breakthroughs in improving the quality of life of union members and workers, especially representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. In addition, it is important to pay attention to building an increasingly strong working class, creating motivation for workers to compete in labor, production, improving product quality, contributing to the socio -economic development of the province and the country. At the same time, it is necessary to put forward policies and strategies to ensure sustainable employment and social security policies such as housing, kindergartens, cultural institutions and playgrounds for workers' children; have a strategy for digital transformation, improving labor productivity and vocational training, equipping vocational skills, technology skills, foreign languages, and automation to meet the requirements of the new labor market.

I hope the Trade Union will continue to coordinate in inspecting and supervising the implementation of labor laws by employers; continue to organize emulation movements, and have appropriate forms of rewards to motivate workers to increase labor productivity.

I propose that full-time officials of the Trade Unions of communes, wards and special zones should be under the payroll of the Provincial Federation of Labor to be proactive in Trade Union activities. Include in the Trade Union Charter the authority of the Trade Unions of communes, wards and special zones; at the same time, issue specific financial norms for the commune, ward and special zone levels to promote the role of the Trade Unions of communes, wards and special zones.

* Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Quyen - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of An Giang Construction Joint Stock Company:

During the past term, the Provincial Federation of Labor had many practical activities to care for union members and workers.

To promote the achieved results, I hope that in the coming time, the Trade Union organization will continue to promote activities to care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; continue to be a support for disadvantaged workers who need advice on labor law, protect the legitimate rights of workers, especially units with a large number of workers. Maintain the program "Trade Union Shelter" and welfare programs for union members. Organize activities to educate about revolutionary ideals, love for the homeland and nation, revolutionary will and gratitude to the previous generation who sacrificed themselves to gain independence and freedom for the nation. Regularly organize training on Trade Union work for Trade Union officials at all levels, ensuring that officials have the capacity, qualifications, and understanding of Trade Union activities to successfully complete assigned tasks.

In recent times, Hwaseung Rach Gia Trade Union has done a good job of taking care of union members and workers with many practical actions, thereby creating trust among workers, enhancing the position, role and prestige of the Trade Union towards the enterprise, contributing to the development of the company.

In the coming time, I hope that the Trade Union organization in general and An Giang Trade Union in particular will pay more attention to security policies for union members and workers; support union members with housing difficulties, develop cultural institutions to improve the lives of union members and workers. Innovate the content and methods of Trade Union activities in a modern, close, and for-workers direction. Effectively carry out communication work; build, deploy and replicate pilot models in Trade Union activities to improve the quality of activities in the trend of integration and development.

* Mr. Nguyen Van Khan - Union member of An Giang Samho Limited Liability Company:

Before the congress, I expect An Giang Trade Union to strongly transform to take care of union members and workers.

I hope that the Union will have more practical and concrete activities to improve the lives and welfare of union members and workers. The Union is a solid "bridge", effectively dialogues and negotiates with employers, protects the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, and ensures working conditions for workers. I also hope that the Union will innovate emulation movements to attract a large number of union members to participate, create a friendly and effective working environment, and promote the creativity of workers.
