What does the Principal of Hanoi Medical University note for candidates eligible for direct admission?

Hanoi Medical University has just announced the list of 129 candidates admitted to the regular university program with direct admission in 2023.

Note to candidates who are eligible for this admission when they have not graduated from high school, talking to reporters of Health & Life newspaper, Prof. Nguyen Huu Tu - Principal of Hanoi Medical University said: "This is just one step in the admission process, after candidates confirm their enrollment at the school, they will have an official admission decision recognizing them as students of the school.

According to Plan 923/QD-BGDDT issued by the Ministry of Education and Training on March 30, July 5 is the last day universities must announce the results of direct admission. The decision on recognizing candidates admitted to the regular university system with direct admission of Hanoi Medical University shows the results of that direct admission.

After candidates enroll at the school with all the requirements according to regulations, they will have an official decision to become students of the school.

According to Professor Nguyen Huu Tu, the criteria for direct admission to Hanoi Medical University are specified in the admission plan for each major. These are: candidates who won international Olympic prizes (Gold, Silver, Bronze) in the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Informatics; Candidates who were summoned to participate in the national team selection exam for the international Olympic competitions in the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Informatics; Candidates who won second prize or higher in the national excellent student selection exam for the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Informatics, English; Candidates who won international Olympic prizes (Gold, Silver, Bronze) in the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Informatics; Candidates who were summoned to participate in the national team selection exam for the international Olympic competitions in the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Informatics; Candidates who won third prize or higher in the national excellent student competition for the following subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Informatics, English; Candidates participating in national and international Science and Technology competitions organized or nominated by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Regarding direct admission quotas, according to Professor Nguyen Huu Tu, this year, Hanoi Medical University reserves no more than 25% of its quota for each major. Hanoi Medical University has implemented the admission regulations; schedule, and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training in 2023.

The Principal of Hanoi Medical University added that among the list of candidates for direct admission to the regular university program this year at Hanoi Medical University, there are also 2 candidates with registered residence in Bac Kan who have studied for 1 year at the Ethnic University Preparatory School.

Direct admission for candidates who have completed the pre-university program of Hanoi Medical University is carried out according to the current regulations on admission and pre-university training; consideration for transfer to university level for current pre-university students. Admission conditions depend on each major.

For example, for the Medical major, candidates must have a total score of 3 subjects: Math, Chemistry, Biology in the 2022 high school graduation exam (including priority points, not multiplying the coefficient): from 23.0 points or higher and be admitted to the Ethnic University Preparatory School. Candidates must have an average score of each subject: Math, Chemistry, Biology of 8.0 points or higher at the Ethnic University Preparatory School and have good conduct.
