Coach Hoang Anh Tuan wants to recreate the miracle that shocked Asia of Coach Park

Vietnam Olympic team just had a 4-2 victory over Mongolia in the opening match of Group B of ASIAD 19.

Coach Hoang Anh Tuan is not satisfied with Vietnam Olympic team after winning against Mongolia.

Although the red team's performance was not convincing, coach Hoang Anh Tuan believes the whole team will play better in the upcoming matches.

The coach from Khanh Hoa even said he will try his best to help the Vietnam Olympic team recreate the miracle of the 2018 U23 Asia Championship (Changzhou, China), where the Vietnam U23 team, under the guidance of coach Park Hang-seo, reached the final.

“From Hangzhou, I miss Changzhou. I know that fans in our country are expecting the Vietnam Olympic team to achieve the same feat as in Changzhou in 2018.

We will try our best to meet the expectations of fans nationwide, even though we know this tournament is a huge challenge," said Mr. Tuan.

After the victory over Mongolia, the Vietnamese Olympic team will have to face two very strong opponents, Iran and Saudi Arabia.

In many aspects, Quoc Viet and his teammates are being rated lower than these teams.

However, coach Hoang Anh Tuan still declared: "I know fans are worried about an unfavorable scenario for the Vietnam Olympic team, some people advise me to avoid losing heavily.

But why don't we dare to think that the Vietnamese Olympic team will enter the next round properly and legitimately?

Although we know it is very difficult when our two opponents Iran and Saudi Arabia are more qualified and experienced than us."

After the first round of matches, Vietnam Olympic team is temporarily leading Group B with 3 points. Meanwhile, Iran and Saudi Arabia are behind with 1 point each.

According to the schedule, on September 21, coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team will face Olympic Iran.
