Coach Kim Sang Sik attended the closing ceremony of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Television Cup Football Tournament

On the afternoon of August 4, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the 5th BRT Television Cup Youth Football Tournament officially closed. Presenting the awards to the teams were Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, President of the Vietnam Football Federation; Mr. Kim Sang Sik, Head Coach of the National Team and U23 Vietnam.

Accordingly, after more than 1 month of competition, the organizing committee awarded the first prize in the U11 age group to Long Dien district, the second prize to Ba Ria city, the third prize to Vung Tau city and the fourth prize to Phu My town.

In the U13 age group, the first prize went to Chau Duc district, the second prize went to Xuyen Moc district, the third prize went to Phu My town and the fourth prize went to the team from Vung Tau city.

In addition, the organizers also awarded the best Player and Goalkeeper awards this season.

Ms. Tran Ngoc Than, Director of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Radio and Television Station, Head of the Organizing Committee, shared that the BRT Television Cup Youth Football Tournament aims to create a playground for children to indulge their passion for football. Through the tournament, domestic youth football academies and training centers will select good seeds to send for training and development.

Also at the ceremony, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Radio and Television Station signed a 5-year cooperation agreement with Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Academy.

It is known that every year, this academy organizes exams for thousands of children nationwide to select talented and qualified individuals, but in the past 3 years, the number of students admitted to the academy has been less than 15.

However, with 3 seasons of BRT Television Cup, 15 players from Ba Ria – Vung Tau have become students of LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Academy. Among them, 3 have been called up by the Vietnam Football Federation to join the national youth teams, participating in the Southeast Asian and Asian Football Championships.
