Many potentials in culture and agriculture
Currently, the district has 74 relics, of which 25 have been ranked at provincial and national levels. The relics are located in the communes of Hoang Tung, Hong Viet, Nam Tuan, Truong Luong, Bach Dang, Dan Chu, Dai Tien and Nuoc Hai town.
The district has 5 stops on the northern tourist route "Journey to the origin" of the UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark. Many types of intangible cultural heritage such as: Then singing, Tinh lute, Quan Lang singing, Mong panpipe dance; along with unique traditional festivals such as: King Le Temple Festival (Hoang Tung), De Doong Temple Festival (Hong Viet), An Lai Spring Festival (Nguyen Hue); legends associated with historical relics such as: Legend of "Cau chua cheng vua" (nine lords fighting for the king), legend of Bao Luong - Slao Cai... along with a system of historical and cultural relics bearing the imprint of a land of "revolutionary origin", closely related to the history of the nation, which used to be the palace of feudal dynasties, the movements of the predecessors of the Vietnamese revolution.
In the district, there are many traditional handicrafts such as: An Lai vermicelli production (Nguyen Hue), brocade weaving village in Dong Giang 1 hamlet (Nam Tuan), weaving in Lung Oong hamlet (Truong Luong) and many traditional culinary dishes of ethnic groups such as: Men men, thang co of Mong ethnic group; roasted pig, roasted duck, purple sticky rice and cakes of Tay, Nung ethnic groups... Currently, the district has 14 products recognized as OCOP. Of which, 3 OCOP products have achieved 4 stars including: Dai Hoang Cao Bang corn wine, Dai Hoang Long Phung corn wine, Dai Hoang Tien Tuu corn wine; 11 products achieving 3-star OCOP include: Tai Ho Sin green tea, natural forest honey of Hoang Tung commune, Cao Bang Japanese rice wine, Cao Bang Japanese rice, Huy Hoang burnt rice, Ms. Luyen's dry white vermicelli, Ms. Luyen's dry purple vermicelli, Cuong Yen dong vermicelli, Binh Long corn wine, Su Hao black jelly, Binh Duong natural flower honey. This is a great potential for the district to preserve and exploit the existing historical and cultural relic values to develop tourism associated with the socio -economic development of the locality.
Orientation of agricultural development associated with tourism
In order to effectively exploit and promote tourism and agricultural resources, the District People's Committee has developed a plan to implement the Rural Tourism Development Program in the construction of new rural areas in the period of 2023 - 2025. In which, focusing on tourism products with local identity and potential strengths. Developing and restoring traditional craft villages, developing economic models of farms, craft villages, garden houses, clean agricultural products associated with tourism development and services such as: Cultural and historical tourism, spirituality, festivals, cultural experiences, culinary and local agricultural products, through organizing festivals, cultural festivals of ethnic groups, Spring Flower Festival... Experiential tourism at establishments producing traditional handicraft products such as: making đàn tính, weaving brocade (Nam Tuan); pottery products (Dan Chu), vermicelli making (Nguyen Hue)... Re-enacting the Hang Toan festival, the Lion dance team in Nuoc Hai town, ethnic cuisine at the fair, establishing folk song clubs, folk dance teams, and mass art troupes in hamlets to serve the cultural needs of the people and develop tourism.
Investing in infrastructure for tourist attractions of Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark in the district such as: building a walking route to Nguom Boc Cave; upgrading the parking lot of De Doong Temple, renovating the landscape of the Stone Garden, Nguom Slua Cave, planting ornamental plants at King Le Temple... Building community tourism spots in potential communes. The district welcomes many strategic investors to survey and invest in tourist spots in the district such as: Eco-tourism and resort projects in Na Man hamlet (Ngu Lao), Suoi Cun experiential tourism project, Na Teng Eco-Island tourist area... At the same time, organizing annual sports activities to attract tourists such as: District table tennis tournament (expanded), 11-a-side men's football for BIDV Cup; coordinating with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the Cao Bang Provincial Cycling Tournament (expanded) in the district...
The district determines to build and develop rural tourism destinations with regional characteristics, build a rural tourism model in the direction of green, responsible and sustainable tourism. Focus on developing quality tourism products such as: Tai Ho Sin tea, pineapple in Bach Dang commune, tobacco in Nam Tuan commune. Deploy the construction of agricultural and rural tourism models associated with new rural construction such as: custard apple growing model (Hong Viet), yellow melon (Hoang Tung), black jelly (Le Chung), Pi Pat sticky rice (Duc Long)... Exploiting garden houses, farms, ecological areas, high-tech zones to develop into experiential tourism spots connecting with the district's tourist spots such as: black pig farm in Ngu Lao commune, fruit garden in Hong Viet commune, free-range duck model, chicken without a cork in Dai Tien commune...
Build and maintain the effective program of one OCOP product per commune, build points of sale for OCOP products, agricultural products, traditional craft products and souvenirs in accordance with the general planning of the locality. Build models according to the specific rural tourism chain with the participation of people as the subject, cooperatives, cooperatives, business households and enterprises. Promote and advertise tourism products associated with traditional occupations, agricultural and rural industries through cultural, sports and tourism events of the district and province; electronic information pages of the district, communes, towns and social networking sites. Thereby, gradually build Hoa An into a tourist destination, contributing to poverty reduction and creating sustainable livelihoods for people.
