The program is co-chaired by the Korean Embassy in Vietnam in coordination with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and organized by the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, aiming to expand cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Vietnam is a member country of APEC and is expected to host this event in 2027 in Phu Quoc special economic zone ( An Giang province).

The concert will feature the appearance of artist Sumi Jo - a world- famous opera soprano, along with the participation of Vietnamese government leaders, diplomatic delegations from various countries and the cultural and artistic community, bringing to the audience profound and emotional moments.

Artist Sumi Jo, who has just been awarded the French Order of Arts and Letters (the most prestigious in the field of art) Commandeur, will perform a variety of acts from opera, classical art songs to musicals, bringing the audience an international-class stage.

In addition, the concert will also feature artists from Korea and Vietnam, including Tenor Jang Joo-hoon, Pianist Park Sang-wook, Tenor Nguyen Truong Linh, Violinist Phan Dang Quan and Pianist Nguyen Cong Minh. The combination of talented young artists from the two countries promises to bring a rich and meaningful performance, demonstrating the spirit of friendly artistic exchange between the two countries.

Since 2023, the Korean Embassy and the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam have regularly organized a series of Vietnam-Korea concerts, inviting world-class artists such as pianist Yiruma (2023) and Popera tenor Lim Hyung-joo (2024), thereby continuously expanding and strengthening cultural exchanges, especially in the field of classical music.

Today (October 14), the Korean Government decided to provide humanitarian aid worth 1 million USD to support the Vietnamese Government and people in responding to and overcoming damage caused by recent storms, floods and heavy rains.
