(CLO) On December 21, in Hanoi , the Organizing Committee of the GODS AND DEMONS painting exhibition and the family of young artist Duc Long held the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Gods and Demons", with the aim of raising funds to support the difficult circumstances in the Northwest highlands.
Young artist Duc Long said that he loved and showed his talent for painting from a young age. To date, the number of works he has created has reached hundreds of paintings, of which more than 200 with the theme "Gods and Demons" are displayed at this exhibition.
The paintings on display at the exhibition this afternoon were mainly painted with acrylic and oil paints in various sizes, including some very large paintings. It can be said that this is very rare even for professional artists. However, a 10-year-old boy has done this.

“I want my parents to open an art exhibition so that I can introduce my paintings to many people and I can sell my paintings to get money to build a school for children in the mountainous areas who are facing difficulties,” shared young artist Duc Long.
To draw a rainbow of dreams for children of the same age but in difficult circumstances, Duc Long asked his father to sell paintings to raise money to build a school for children in the highlands. "During a trip with my family to Lao Cai in 2023, I witnessed the difficult and deprived circumstances of children in the highlands. From then on, I wanted to contribute to help them ease the difficulties in their journey to find letters" - Duc Long recalled.
Now, Long's charity wish has come true, thanks to the support and sharing of his family, many of Long's paintings have reached art lovers and the money from selling the paintings is enough to build a small school for students in the highlands.
On December 10, Pham Duc Long signed a sponsorship agreement to build a school (through his father, who is his guardian) with Na Sang Primary Boarding School No. 2, Muong Cha District, Dien Bien Province, to use the money from selling his son's paintings to fund the entire construction of a new primary school in Hoi Xuan village.
According to Duc Long, currently the students here do not have a school and are having to study at local houses, temporary wooden houses or have to walk for hours to get to other schools to study.

A childlike heart, though naive and small, but full of love and empathy, a sense of responsibility towards the community and society, efforts in studying and training and perseverance to achieve Duc Long's goals are also the educational orientations of the family, and at the same time, the core values in the way of behaving that Long was imbued with from his learning environment.
"I hope that art lovers will come to the exhibition to support my paintings, thereby contributing to the success of the exhibition, helping ethnic minority students in the northern highlands to have a beautiful and solid school in the remote border areas" - said young artist Duc Long.
