According to the consulting unit, Quan Truong River and Tac River are currently being encroached upon and illegally cultivated, obstructing the flow and polluting the environment. The renovation and embellishment of these two rivers combined with tourism development is extremely necessary and consistent with the planning orientation of Nha Trang City (old) until 2040 approved by the Prime Minister. The consulting unit proposed to renovate and embellish Quan Truong River into 5 sub-areas with the idea of an ocean riverside style, including: Hoai Niem sub-area (Xom Con village) with a length of 2.7km; Lam Ha sub-area with a length of about 1.5km; Thuong Pho sub-area with a length of about 1.5km; Mai Hoa sub-area with a length of about 1.3km and Thuong Hoi sub-area with a length of about 3km. In these sub-areas, many works will be designed with unique highlights, both nostalgic and modern. For the Tac River, the consulting unit proposed an idea with a natural ecological style, returning the river to its pristine state, including the following sub-areas: Thuy Nguyen with a length of about 4.9km; Tuyen Lam with a length of about 4.5km; Miet Vuon with a length of about 3.2km; Sinh Luc with a length of about 1.9km. The consulting unit also proposed a 15km Quan Truong River cruise route with 10 piers along the river combined with an 18km long ecological walking path along the river; a 13km Tac River cruise route with 9 piers combined with a 20km long ecological walking path along the river. If these two river routes are combined with a full-package cruise route, it will be 33km...
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam requested the Provincial Development Project Management Board to coordinate with the consulting unit to collect opinions from departments, branches and sectors to complete the idea of unblocking the flow of rivers in combination with developing tourism economy ; synthesize the idea report to clearly show the orientation of the master plan, zoning plan, and impact on projects preparing to be implemented in the area... The consulting unit reviews the land plots along both sides of the river to have specific orientations for the establishment of investment projects in each phase; complete the idea in July for the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for consideration according to regulations.
