Conducting a field inspection at old apartment buildings and collective housing areas in Le Chan and Hong Bang wards, and checking the facilities of temporary shelters arranged for people, Comrade Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, requested local Party committees and authorities to continue to closely monitor the storm's developments, promote a spirit of initiative and responsibility, and promptly complete the evacuation of people from old apartment buildings and degraded collective housing areas at high risk of insecurity, ensuring absolute safety for people, giving priority to the elderly and children.

Localities need to thoroughly inspect and review facilities at temporary shelters, ensuring adequate electricity, water, sanitation, and essential necessities, so that people do not encounter difficulties when leaving their residences. Strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to comply with the evacuation policy. Functional forces and grassroots working groups must uphold their sense of responsibility and be ready to support people in any situation that arises.

According to Le Chan Ward’s report, Dong Tam apartment complex has 12 rows of houses with more than 300 households living there. Of these, rows A5 and A11 are the most seriously degraded, and are home to nearly 40 households. The ward has mobilized most households to move and temporarily take shelter in a safe place before the storm hits. For households without temporary shelter, the ward has arranged a location at Dong Tam Kindergarten.

For nearly 30 households in the leather and footwear collective area at 12 Nguyen Cong Tru, the ward also arranged temporary shelter at Nguyen Cong Tru Kindergarten, while ensuring essential conditions for the people.

Comrade Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, visited and encouraged residents of the degraded collective housing area at Giay Da Collective Housing Area at 12 Nguyen Cong Tru (Le Chan Ward) to safely move to Nguyen Cong Tru Kindergarten to avoid the storm.

At the 4-storey apartment complex 299 - 319 Ly Thuong Kiet, the leader of Hong Bang ward informed that there are currently 45 households with 118 people living there. Hong Bang ward is urgently mobilizing people to evacuate, prioritizing the evacuation of the elderly and children, ensuring the evacuation is completed before 8:00 p.m. on July 21.

A row of apartment buildings has deteriorated and is not safe during the rainy season.

Housing area A5, A11 Dong Tam collective (Le Chan ward) is seriously degraded and residents need to be relocated to ensure safety during storms.
