Ministry of Industry and Trade investigates anti-dumping of imported colorless float glass

News from the Ministry of Industry and Trade said it has just issued a decision to investigate and apply anti-dumping measures on some colorless float glass products originating from Indonesia and Malaysia.

The investigation decision was issued based on the appraisal results according to the provisions of the law on trade defense for the "Document requesting investigation to apply anti-dumping measures" of Chu Lai Float Glass Joint Stock Company, Ha Long Float Glass Joint Stock Company, Phu My Super White Float Glass Company Limited and Vietnam Float Glass Company Limited.

The domestic industry has accused colorless float glass products originating from Indonesia and Malaysia of being dumped into the Vietnamese market, causing significant damage to the domestic industry.

According to legal regulations, after initiating an investigation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will send an investigation questionnaire to relevant parties to collect information to analyze and evaluate the allegations.

Specifically, including: Dumping behavior of exporting enterprises of investigated countries; damage to domestic manufacturing industry; and causal relationship between dumping behavior and damage to domestic manufacturing industry.

If necessary, based on the results of the preliminary investigation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade may apply temporary anti-dumping measures to prevent dumping from continuing to cause significant damage to the domestic manufacturing industry.

At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will also organize public consultations for relevant parties to directly exchange, provide information, and express their views on the case before making a final conclusion on the case.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade recommends that all organizations and individuals currently exporting, importing, distributing, trading, and using investigated goods register as related parties and provide necessary information to the Ministry of Industry and Trade to ensure their rights and interests in accordance with the law.

At the same time, the application for registration of a related party may be submitted to the Investigation Authority by either post or email.
