Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and representatives of Tuoi Tre Newspaper presented 1.5 billion VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City and the Hue City Labor Federation to support workers and laborers affected by the historic flood. Of which, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor donated 1 billion VND and readers of Tuoi Tre Newspaper donated 500 million VND.

At the handover ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang shared the difficulties and losses of the government and people of Hue city during the historic flood that lasted for the past 23 days.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, in recent times, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has closely coordinated with Tuoi Tre Newspaper in many activities. Notably, the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament has raised a sum of money to support the people of the Central region, especially in Hue, to help people recover after natural disasters.
"I hope that the government and people of Hue city will be resilient and stand up together to restore life and bring back the image of Hue city as green, clean, bright and beautiful," said Mr. Khang.
Also on November 10, a working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Hue City People's Committee and Tuoi Tre Newspaper visited and presented gifts to workers of Victortex Hue Company Limited in Quang Dien Commune (Hue City). This is an area that suffered from deep and prolonged flooding during the recent historic floods. 60 gifts, each worth 2 million VND, were handed over by the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Hue City People's Committee to the workers affected by the floods.
Receiving the gift, Ms. Le Thi Be (37 years old, resident of Dan Dien commune, Hue city) emotionally shared that this is a meaningful gift after many days of continuous rain and flood. Ms. Be's house is located next to Tam Giang lagoon, the recent rain and flood caused the house to be flooded for more than 5 days.
"The flood washed away my family's small shrimp farm next to the lagoon, causing tens of millions of dong in damage. I sincerely thank everyone for their support, helping my family overcome economic difficulties after the flood," said Ms. Be.
Also on November 10, the delegation visited the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Lam, in Vy Da ward, Hue city. Ms. Lam's husband was one of the 15 people who unfortunately died in the recent flood in Hue. After burning incense and giving gifts, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang expressed his deep condolences to the family and encouraged Ms. Lam to try to overcome the pain and continue working.
