Helping underprivileged students get to school.
At the Thoi Binh Waterway Police Station (Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police) located in Ho Thi Ky Commune, the "Three Best" emulation movement has been concretized by the unit through practical actions. Each officer and soldier demonstrates the highest level of responsibility in their work, handles tasks most effectively, and serves the people with the utmost dedication.
Officers at the Thoi Binh Waterway Police Station distribute leaflets promoting safety and security for people and vessels.
Accordingly, they not only performed patrol and control duties well but also directly visited each ferry terminal, vessel, and household along the river to disseminate information and guide people to strictly comply with legal regulations. At the same time, they developed and expanded self-governing models for waterway traffic safety; and encouraged vessel owners and terminal owners to sign commitments to comply with regulations, thereby ensuring the safety of people and vessels.
The unit's officers and soldiers also voluntarily contributed their salaries and mobilized social resources to help poor students overcome difficulties on their path to acquiring knowledge.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Tan Dat, Head of Thoi Binh Water Police Station, informed: “On the occasion of the opening of the new school year and the end of the school year, the unit visited schools in the area to give gifts to encourage and motivate students who overcome difficulties and are studious. From the beginning of the year until now, through voluntary salary contributions and social mobilization, the unit has given 55 gifts to the children.”
For the border guards, the officers and soldiers of Cai Doi Vam Border Guard Post always have a special affection for the children here.
“Through models such as 'Helping Children Go to School' and 'Adopted Children of Border Guard Posts,' the unit not only provides material support but also cares for, accompanies, and guides the children in their studies and lives, creating conditions for them to go to school, nurture their dreams, and orient their future,” said Captain Nguyen Thanh Duy, Deputy Political Officer of Cai Doi Vam Border Guard Post.
Dang Khanh Bang, a 6th-grade student at Le Hong Phong Primary and Secondary School in Cai Doi Vam commune, is the youngest of two siblings. Her father works as a fisherman, and her mother runs a restaurant to support their education. With the help of the Border Guard, Khanh Bang has become even more confident in her studies.
Officers from the Cái Đôi Vàm Border Guard Station visited and encouraged Đặng Khánh Băng in her studies.
"The border guards have been supporting me with monthly allowances, school supplies, rice, gifts, and lots of encouragement and help. Thanks to them, my second semester exam results are much better than before," Khánh Băng confided.
Through concrete, practical, and humane actions, the provincial armed forces continuously make the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style a regular driving force, contributing to enhancing the image of soldiers who are always close to the people and serve the people .
