Da Nang students are off school from the afternoon of October 22

On October 22, the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang issued an official dispatch informing preschool children, students, and trainees across the city to stay home from school on Wednesday afternoon (October 22) and all day Thursday (October 23) to proactively respond to very heavy rain and storm No. 12.

Educational institutions with organized boarding schools decide the time (specific hours) and promptly notify parents to pick up their children (possibly after lunch); assign teachers and management staff to take care of preschool children and students when parents have not arrived to pick them up.

Boarding and semi-boarding schools for ethnic minorities must strengthen management and care for students; do not let students go home without ensuring safety conditions.

Private universities and vocational training institutions, based on actual situations, proactively decide on students' attendance.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training also assigned localities to decide, depending on the situation, to let students stay home from school and proactively develop plans to organize online teaching and learning.

The People's Committees of many wards and communes in the city such as Hai Chau, Hoa Cuong, An Khe, Hoa Khanh... have announced that preschool children, primary and secondary school students will be off from October 22 until further notice to ensure safety in the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 12 and prolonged heavy rain.

Units and schools proactively and urgently organize cleaning and sanitizing schools and classrooms after the storm, when the water recedes and the rain stops so that preschool children, students, and trainees can return to school soon.
